DESCRIPTION
Malayan Savings Bank (formerly Malayan) came from the vision of Atty. Augusto Martirez, MSB’s founder. A famed lawyer and businessman, Atty. Martirez's success only inspired him to help society in more meaningful ways. Thus, after putting up a real estate company, pawnshop, and non-life insurance firm, Atty. Martirez and his colleague and friend Menardo Jimenez put up Malayan Savings Bank on July 1, 1996, with a modest capital of P100 million. The founding shareholders of the bank are GMA Network, Inc., Majalco Inc., Liberty Flour Mills, and G.A. Yupangco.
Emboldened by the goal to provide financial means for middle and lower-income Filipinos through accessible banking instruments, MSB has since served customers by helping them achieve their personal and business goals. MSB is one of the top savings banks in the country and remains a trusted partner of individual customers as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
On its 25th year, MSB continues to live by the ideals of Atty. Martirez in consistently adapting and evolving to provide quality service and experience to its customers. MSB is committed to providing practical and accessible financial products to Filipinos with a genuine heart for service.
