Asian Institute of Management’s very own, Gregorio J. Atienza, MBM 1983, Secretary General of the Federation of AIM Alumni Associations (FAIM), was conferred the Movers & Shakers Award at the Asia HRD Awards 2018 held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on October 11, 2018. He has been recognized for his voluntary FAIM work in support of people development networks.
The Movers & Shakers Award is presented to those who have demonstrated accomplishments by actively influencing changes and breakthroughs in people development. They “move” communities by “shaking” existing practices. They are pioneers who challenge the status quo and strive for continuous improvements.
The Asia HRD Awards aim to honor individuals, HR professionals, and practitioners at all levels that have significantly impacted, or influenced the HR community, organizations or society as a whole. This prestigious annual event has recognized a total of 229 recipients from 20 countries.
Mr. Atienza was the Chairman of the AIM Alumni Association-Philippines from 2016 to 2018. He also served the Asian Institute of Management as Executive Managing Director of the Alumni Relations Office and Editor-in-Chief of the AIMLeader, AIM’s official alumni publication, for more than a decade. In 2011, in recognition of his leadership in harnessing volunteerism, recognizing alumni excellence and generosity, and revitalizing active alumni engagement, Mr. Atienza was awarded the “Honorary Leadership Achievement Award” from the Triple A Club, and the “Award of Excellence” from the Council of AAAIM Chairmen.
